Become a part of the

As of December 2008, due to a number of reasons, anybody wishing to open a membership account with ftooz.co.uk will have to pay a fee of £8.80. A membership account is needed if you wish to participate on the forum part of the website i.e post replies to topics, start new topics, advertise your goods for sale etc etc.
This fee is a one off payment and will enable you to have full access to all areas of the forum. You will NOT be charged annually, this is purely a one off lifetime account activation payment.

*Please remember that you do not have to become a member to read the forum. However, if you wish to take part you will need to open a membership account.

Over the years, as ftooz.co.uk began to develop, the forum suffered at the hands of people who had no other intention other than to cause trouble. They thought that by hiding behind a username and the anonymity that brought they could make deriding comments and generally spoil the forum for all others.
Whilst it is understandable that many of you will not agree with having to pay to become a member of the forum it was decided that this was the best option. ftooz.co.uk is commited to providing a responsible, safe, user-friendly website and to ensure that the 'playground' factor does not diminish the websites intentions.
 
Since the membership fee was introduced this has virtually eradicated this problem. The other reasons for charging a fee are:
 
- To cover the costs of adverts placed in the largest dedicated F2 classifieds section (all adverts are free to members provided they are not trading).
- To support the website's chosen charity (a percentage of your payment is passed on).
- To prevent the forum getting out of hand by having too many members.
- To help with the development of the website.

Please read the forum rules! This is the important bit to make sure we all pull in the right direction. Secondly, if you are a trader or business of any sort or size please read the Conditions of Acceptance regarding advertising on ftooz.co.uk. Advertising is only free to those members who are not trading or selling items on behalf of a business.
Opening a membership account with ftooz.co.uk does not mean you are allowed to advertise your business or trade within the forum. We have advertising packages for that which are available on request.

You will be sent a PayPal payment request for £8.80 to activate your lifetime membership

Once you have done all of this, your details have been accepted and the payment has cleared your account will be activated. You will be informed via email that you can now log in and begin using the website to its fullest.
